I am here.

I'm here!  Its my third day at Hume, and orientation and training for work is well under way.  I am so happy to be at Hume Lake, so many great memories here.  Its so beautiful and I've been waking up early to go for runs around the lake.
God has truly revealed Himself to me through the nature here.  Early in the morning the lake is so beautiful.  There is steam coming up off of the lake, the air is crisp, cold, and so fresh.  The sun is just rising over the mountains, and stepping into the warmth of the sun feels so good.  The smell of pine is everywhere.  The birds are so loud here because there are no other sounds to drown them out.  The stars!  Oh my word.  The stars!  Last night I went out and laid on the dock with a couple girls.  I have not seen stars so amazing in such a long time.  I just was in awe.  Thinking about how powerful, huge and indescribable God is, gosh.  It just really blows my mind.  It truly humbles me.  Thinking that I know better than God, and taking my plans into my own hands is probably the dumbest thing to do.  Looking at those stars made me realize that, and truly showed me that I have trust and faith in a trustworthy and faithful God.  He is soo incredibly big and powerful.
Someone once told me that even if you were soo completely intimate with God every single day of your life, like completely intimate.  Every day.  You would only know a small part of who God actually is.  He is that big.  That is pretty darn huge.  So huge you would fall flat and die if you saw a small glimpse of His face.  Man.  It just blows my mind.
I love being able to see God through His wonderful art.  Everything here just shouts His name.
Its funny, being here right now is totally reminding me of beginning of freshman year of school at Biola.  Your meeting so many people and you don't remember anyone's name, but you want to have relationships with people.  I am so blessed to be able to live with my best friend Erin Royer.  She is great and we are having so much fun together.
Hume is beautiful.  I really don't know what to expect this summer but God's got it all under control!!
